The events and manifestations characterizing the historical games organized every year aim to stage the most ancient traditions of our Country.
Surrounded by the splendid setting of the historic center of our city, the historical games are characterized by their faithful period reconstructions and their competitive aspects, able to ensure a massive participation of people from all walks of life.
The Associazione Giochi Storici of Cagli, a delightful town in the province of Pesaro Urbino, was born from the minds of two citizens of Cagli: Giuseppe Aguzzi and Ermes Maidani, who with great tenacity and determination worked to lay the foundations of this cultural organization with the aim of highlighting the history and beauty of Cagli through the dissemination of the history and culture that laid the foundations of our daily lives.
Thanks to their extraordinary fervor, Aguzzi and Maidani managed, in 1986, to involve eleven other fellow citizens, who together formed the Board of Directors of the Associazione Giochi Storici of Cagli.
It currently consists of nine members who are committed to letting people "touch firsthand" the daily reality of past eras through the reenactment of some historical events that amuse and amaze the town's inhabitants and visiting tourists every year: first and foremost the exciting Historical Palio dell'Oca, the Palio dei Bambini, the Palio dei mezzani, the Palione and Cagli in Rinascimento.
A young, united, and dynamic group that wants to promote cultural aggregation by directly involving the citizens of Cagli and visiting foreigners.
