In recent years, the historic Palio dell'Oca event has welcomed the arrival of the Armed Companies, which, together with the Quarter Page teams, have made the Palio a truly spectacular occasion.
The ancient Renaissance challenges are recreated as faithfully as possible. All companies — archers, crossbowmen and drummers — represent a moment of history and theatre, dressed in magnificent Italian Renaissance costumes: the outfits evoke the ancient beauty of sixteenth-century paintings and are crafted down to the finest detail.
