The 37th edition of the Palio dell'Oca in Cagli goes to the district of Sant'Agostino

Sant'Agostino triumphs in the 37th edition of the Historic Palio dell'Oca in the city of Cagli.

On a very hot day, in front of a crowd of over 1500 enthusiastic spectators, the 4 fierce teams fought with passion and determination. But it was the Sant'Agostino dice thrower who emerged among the others; with impeccable precision, he hit tile 54 with a formidable roll of 6 from tile 48 (reconquered after losing a game against Sant'Andrea), allowing the pink-and-black player pages of Sant'Agostino to carry Maestro Cerretini's Goose in triumph after their last victory in 2015.

The streets of Cagli resonated with the laughter and songs of the celebrations that went on until late at night. The local taverns, meanwhile, served delicious dishes, warming the hearts of visitors and citizens with traditional local specialties. The little ones were not left behind, having fun with the various games offered by the "Mestieranti" scattered throughout the city.

This year, the Palio once again showed the dedication and commitment of the volunteers who, with passion, work tirelessly to ensure that this celebration remains unforgettable.
