Sant'Andrea wins one of the longest Palio ever

The path of the Sant'Andrea dice thrower seemed hopeless, as while the other districts rolled their die to win the Palio dell'Oca, he saw his flag still stuck on tile 25.

But, after an incredible series of challenges and missed rolls, he slowly approached the Palio zone and, on the first attempt, hit the 4 that led his district to victory, mocking all the others who had hoped more than once to take the Palio home.

There are therefore two victories for Sant'Andrea, which had also won the Palio dei Mezzani the previous week.

After the victory, as usual, all the district pages and the many people who came to Cagli for the occasion celebrated until late at night.
